[08 May 2006|08:59pm]
I'd just like to say that I'm really, really tired of getting hurt.

Really really.

(2 Know I love you)

mmm :) [04 May 2006|08:34pm]
[ mood | calm ]

Things have been really great recently.

Dealing with...
NC State: I'm very excited. I should be getting my housing assignment soon! Ahh I hope I get Owen Hall because it's next to the rec. center and I'll be doing part of my physical therapy there! I got a $2,000 scholarship the other day...so that's good!

Present Schooling: Senior year is finally shaping up...too bad it's the end of the year. Prom was a good time...Will and I had fun. Samantha and Sarah were a trip the entire night. Senior week was also a blast! Too bad our senior night had to be rescheduled due to sewage leakage. Anyway..I took my AP Statistics Exam and it was far from easy. Definitely the hardest test I've ever taken. Now we're pretty much not doing anything in class. We played video games today...but we have two project due and we're starting on calculus next week for some reason.

Relationships: Will and I were together, but not for long. We just didn't mesh well. Now I'm talking to someone else...but it's a bit of a secret. So! :D

Family: That's the only thing that's not great right now. Hm.

Summer: I'm pretty sure I'm moving in with my dad over the summer. I can't stay here any more...I'm too stressed out dealing with it. So I'm pretty excited.

And thats about it :)

(I love you)

ahh these were the days [22 Mar 2006|04:19am]
[ mood | chipper ]

Anybody under the age of 15 should not read this, and if you should, you should not repost this.

Just because you were born in '92 doesn't mean you're a 90's kid.

It's not like you could remember the original Simpsons. I am sorry but three conscious years of the nineties just wont cut it.

You're a 90's kid if:

You've ever ended a sentence with the word "PSYCHE!"

You can sing the rap to "The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air"

You remember when Kurt Cobain, Tu Pac, River Phoenix, and Selena died.

You know that "WOAH" comes from Joey from "Blossom" and that "How Rude!" comes from Stephanie from "Full House"

You remember when it was actually worth getting up early
on a Saturday to watch cartoons.

You got super excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school.

You remember reading "Goosebumps"

You know the profound meaning of "Wax on, wax off"

You have pondered why Smurfette was the only female smurf.

You took plastic cartoon lunch boxes to school.

You danced to "wannabe" by the Spice Girls, Females: had a new motto, Males: got a whole lot gay-er. (so tell me what you want, what you really really want.)

You remember the craze then the banning of slap bracelets and slam books.

You still get the urge to say "NOT" after (almost) every sentence...Not...

Where in the world is Carmen San Diego? was both a game and a TV game show.

Captain Planet.

You knew that Kimberly, the pink ranger, and Tommy, the red* Ranger were meant to be together.

To the last sentence you said.....hey...Tommy was the green* ranger!!!!

*later to be white

When playing power rangers with friends you fought over who got to be who............and still all ended up being tommy.

You remember when super nintendo's became popular.

You remember watching home alone 1, 2 , and 3........and tried to pull the pranks on "intruders"

"I've fallen and I can't get up"

You remember going to the skating rink before there were inline skates

Two words... Trapper Keeper.

You ever got injured on a Slip 'n' Slide

You wore socks over leggings scrunched down

"Miss Mary Mack, Mack, Mack, all dressed in black, black, black, with silver buttons, buttons, buttons, all down her back, back, back" SHE ASKED HER MOTHER MOTHER MOTHER FOR FIFTY CENTS CENTS CENTS TO SEE THE ELEPHANTS PHANTS PHANTS JUMP OVER THE FENCE THE FENCE THE FENCE
he jumped so high high high he touched the sky sky sky and he didnt come back back back til the forth of july ly ly he jumped so low ow ow he stubbed his toe toe toe and thats the end end end of the elephants show show show

You remember boom boxes vs. cd players

You remember New Kids on The Block when they were cool

You knew all the characters names and their life stories on "Saved By The Bell"

You played and or collected "Pogs"

You had at least one Tamagotchi, GigaPet or Nano and brought it everywhere

You watched the original Care Bears, My Little Pony, and Ninja Turtles

Yikes pencils and erasers were the stuff!

All your school supplies were "Lisa Frank" brand.(pencils.notebooks.binders.etc.)

You remember when the new Beanie Babies were always sold out.

You used to wear those stick on earings, not only on your ears, but at the corners of your eyes.

You remember a time before the WB.

You've gotten creeped out by "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"

You know the Macarena by heart.

"Talk to the hand" ... enough said

You thought Brain woud finally take over the world

You always said, "Then why don't you marry it!"

You remember when everyone went slinky crazy.

You remember when razor scooters were cool.

when we were younger:

Before the MySpace frenzy.

Before the Internet & text messaging.

Before Sidekicks & iPods.

Before PlayStation2 or X-BOX.

Back when you put off the 5 hours of homework you had every night.

When you rented VHS tapes, not DVDs.

When gas was $0.95 a gallon & Caller ID was a new thing.

When we recorded stuff on VCRs & paid $3.50 for a movie.

When we called the radio station to request songs to hear off our walkmans.

When 2Pac and Biggie where alive.

When the Chicago Bulls were the best team ever.

Way back.

Get Over Here!!!! means something to you.

Hide-n-Go Seek at dusk.

Red Light, Green Light.

Heads Up 7 Up.

Skip it!

Neon shorts.

Playing Kickball & Dodgeball until your porch light came on.

Slip-n-Slides.... now there are just ghetto ones

Tree Houses.

Hula Hoops.

The annoying Nano Pets & Furbies.

Running through the sprinklers.

That "Little Mermaid"

Crying when Mufasa died in the Lion King.

Happy Meals where you chose a Barbie or a Hot Wheels car.

Getting the privelage to sit in the front seat of the car.

Drinking Sqeeze It "Squeeze The Fun Out Of It"

Watching Saturday Morning Cartoons in your PJ's still wrapped up in your TMNT, Power Rangers, Barbie, Fairy Princess comforter.

Hey Arnold, Doug, Rugrats.

The original Power Rangers

Or what about:

The Secret Life of Alex Mac.

Ren & Stimpy.

Double Dare.

Family Double Dare.

Rocco's Modern Life.

Wild & Crazy Kids.

Clarissa Explains it All.

salute your shorts(CAMP ANAWANA)

Are You Afraid of the Dark?

The original cast members of All That.

Kenan & Kel.

magic school bus.

Nick Arcade.

flash forward.

the adventures of pete and pete.

legends of the hidden temple.

hey dude.

Mummies Alive

pinky and the brain.

Sailor Moon.

hangin with mr. copper.

bill-nye the science guy!

Who could forget Snick? & Nick @ Nite with Bewitched, I Dream of Jenie, The Facts of Life & I Love Lucy.

Where everyone wanted to be in love after watching The Wonder Years.

or nick jr. with face

gulah gulah island

little bear

Busy Town

under the unbrella tree

The Big Comfy Couch

Bobby's World!!!!

Kool-Aid was the drink of choice.

Wearing your new shoes on the first day of school.

Class field trips.

When Christmas was the most exciting time of year.

When $5 seemed like a million, & another dollar a miracle.

When you begged to go to McDonalds for dinner everyday.

When Toys R Us overuled the mall.

Go back to the time when:

Decisions were made by going 'eeny-meeny-miney-moe'.

Mistakes were corrected by simply exclaiming 'do over!'

'Race issue' ment arguing about who ran the fastest.

Money issues were handled by whoever was banker in 'Monopoly'.

It wasn't odd to have two or three 'best' friends.

Being old referred to anyone over 20.

Scrapes & bruises were kissed & made better.

Where the best form of protection was "circle circle dot dot now I've got my cootie shot, circle circle square square now I've got it everywhere"

It was a big deal to finally be tall enought to ride the 'big people' rides at the fair.

When playing Nintendo was the hardest thing ever.

When Ninja Turtles ruled the world.

Before we realized all this would eventually disappear

who would have thought youd miss the 90's so much!!!!!

I'm pretty much just bored with life.
I'm still ready to graduate.
I'm surprised I'm passing AP Statistics.
I'm trying to be friendlier to the people at my school. Maybe it'll make time pass faster.
There are some people that make me want to vomit at the sight of them though.
I'm moving to Hollister at Crabtree...if I even stay with Hollister. I may just quit altogether.

That's about it.

(2 Know I love you)

[23 Feb 2006|09:17pm]
hmm maybe a real update?

Things have been pretty cool lately. I'm going to NC State, which is awesome. I'm very happy about that. I already know quite a few people that go there, so that should be cool. And Drew is going too, so that's good.
I've been hanging out with the people from Hollister a lot lately. Mainly Joey, Jamie, Ronel and a few select others.
Me, Joey, Ronel, Joey's brother, Kris, Jesse, and Jesse's friend all went to Norfolk, VA on Valentines day and saw Hellogoodbye, Acceptance, The Academy Is..., and PANIC! At The Disco. Panic! Was amazing. I love them. I had a great time.
I've been going to more parties lately.
I may be transferring to the HCo at Crabtree...not sure yet. I'm working at both right now.
I'm currently addicted to MySpace.
I'm tired of school and ready to graduate.
I'm single. (and being stalked) But whatever
Oh yeah, I found out today that I have a hole in the gas tank of my car. Joy.

So umm...I haven't updated on here in a while.

Things are alright.
I'm ready for college.
That's about it.

[04 Dec 2005|07:23pm]
Yay for being happy! Hollister is fun, I like working there. Hellogoodbye and The Rocket Summer were mucho fun. I've made some really nice, cool friends at Hollister. School is retarded, as usual. The parades KILLED my legs. All is well :)

[ mood | Confused ]

So I haven't updated on here in a little while. Things have certainly changed a bit since my last entry. I've lost some friends, but gained some at the same time. Gained a boyfriend. I've been happy off and on, in spurts. Now is not one of those spurts. It seems lately only a few people can make me happy: Stephanie 1 & 2, Stacy, Victoria and Dustin. Dustin especially for some reason. I just love that guy to death. I guess that's how it goes when you get close friends. Being his Asheboro partner helped a lot with that too. I can honestly say that at least one good thing has come out of my senior year so far; closer friends. Stephanie Walker, Stephanie Forsythe, Victoria Slankard, Amber Adcock, Lauren Goodnight, Dustin Slemp (even though he's in college), Will Kapherr, Rebecca Spivey, Allie Dail, Stacey Mobley, and all the rest of the Asheboro counselors have just been outstanding friends this year and I don't think I could have stood anything this year without them. I'm hoping my senior year starts to get better soon. I'm already burnt out. I quit my job and that took a good deal of stress off of my shoulders. But then again, the no money issue still adds more. I'll get another one once marching band ends. Speaking of which, marching band is very stressful. Being Drum Major is not an easy job. I take a lot of hits and can't fight back, so that does some damage. Student Council with all of the stress, believe it or not, has been my saving grace. Having Victoria there with me, who feels the exact same, has helped a lot. This past weekend was the Asheboro Counselor lock in. It was a good experience and all of the counselors got a lot closer. I made a lot of good memories with that group of people that I know I wont forget anytime soon. In case some of you did not know, I'm going to UNC Chapel Hill. Hoorah for me. I guess that's the update on my life.

[08 Sep 2005|01:16pm]

I'm sitting in Mrs. Maxwell's room with Victoria and Frankie and we're ranting about all of the Powder Puff BS. Grr.

So yeah, if you want to read about stuff that has been going on...go to my Xanga. My user name is AVR342...so have at it. I don't really like LiveJournal anymore.

[28 Aug 2005|08:02pm]
So tonight is my first night that I don't have anything major going on. I plan on heading to bed sort of early to catch up on the sleep that I haven't been getting.

So Friday...I had to sing the star spangled banner :x I did HORRIBLE because they gave me like 2 hours notice and I was so nervous. Everyone said I did fine, but I know I screwed it up because my parents taped it! Oh well, I don't care. I'll just redeem myself at the spirit show. So yeah...I conducted the half time show and I think I did a great job. The band came in dragging the tempo, so that messed me up once...but other than that, I did fantastic (even though some people that decided to quit and not even try out for Drum Major were criticizing me). I got a lot of compliments on it. I've already memorized the first score.

Saturday I got up early and went to the school...had band from 9-5 and that was good. We got some more drill on the field, thank goodness. I'm sunburned like crazy though because it was overcast and I didn't put any sunscreen on. I left practice at exactly 5 and went to work...I was looking rough. I left work at about 7:45 and came home and got decent and then I went to the Durham Bulls game to help with Student Council...but I got lost on the way there. I was trying to call someone to walk me from my car to the stadium when I got there because Durham is such a bad town and I was scared, but they decided they didn't want to answer their phone when I called...so I walked all the way to the stadium by myself at 9:30 at night in downtown Durham. My feelings were very hurt. Yep, thanks a lot. So by the time I got there, there was nothing for me to do. Ohhhh well...I still had fun anyway. The fireworks were very cool. I left there pretty late and Justin Bobal had to show me the way home haha I stopped at Wendy's and then on the way home I talked to Josh :) then I FINALLY went to sleep.

I slept til 10 this morning and then got up to go to Asheboro interviews. We had a lot of no-shows, but oh well. I left there at 5:30ish and went to Wal-Mart and then I went to Robert's and saw Robert, Drew, and Matt. I miss those guys so much. It sucks being so busy, I never get to see my friends. I left there and went to Allie's and then I came home to eat and here I am! My mom cleaned my room for me and did my laundry for me :D That's how busy I am. Oh well, next weekend is my weekend off. Friday I plan on going to the guys' football game at Cedar Ridge to show some support...then Saturday I don't have anything until work at 5:30. Then Sunday I don't have anything that I know of...except that I need to do my summer project. So we'll see what happens. I'd like to be able to go out with someone sometime next weekend or Friday if I don't go to the game. We'll see.

Later guys :)

I WANT TO GO ON A DATE, DANGIT! I'm lonely I'm tired of guys telling me they like me and want to be with me and blah blah blah and then they go and act like I don't even exist. It sucks.

Haha a dude from New York(stationed in Norfolk in the Navy) started talking to me at work today. MJ met him! He asked me for my phone number and asked me when I was gonna go visit my bro in Norfolk lol it was crazy. He was a nice guy though

[20 Aug 2005|08:04pm]
Ahh I had band today...it was great. I'm tan all over except for my shoulders and chest...I'm pretty burnt there. I have a flip-flop tan line and a sports bra tan line! I didn't have to wear tennis shoes because I got to run basics and drill and all of that good stuff. I like being drum major...it's a lot of responsibility, but I like it. I conducted pretty well today and I'm pleased with how I'm coming along. I found out today that I'll be wearing a uniform just like the bands', but in all black! It's gonna be HOT! :D I'm so excited!

So umm...yes, I'm very happy with some recent developments ;)

Wooowwwww! I got drum major! Cool! :D I can't wait to start doing stuff. I'm really happy!

Our football team won tonight and I'm so happy for them and so proud of them! They finally beat Bunn! :D This is going to be a great season for them, I can already tell!

Hey uh, quick question since I can't get in touch with you and I know you read this...have you just up and stopped talking to me again like last time or what? A fill in would be great. Thanks a bunch.

So anyway...this week has been extremely busy. School, band, student council, and work have been keeping me busy. I got off of work early tonight, which was nice. I get paid Friday after work :) yay Saturday I have band from 9-5 and I don't know what I'll do after that. Maybe see if someone wants to go out. Then Sunday I have to go get my dress for my brother's wedding. Woo hoo! So excited

So, I'm having to conduct a piece for drum major auditions. Joy. I'm doing a whole show though. I have to get it down by tomorrow...it'll be easy. I wont be crushed if I don't get it, because that just gives me more time for mellophone...which I've gotten pretty good at. I've only been playing since Saturday and I already know most of the fingerings and I can play the music no problem. I just have to toughen up my lips haha Ahhh I can't wait to audition for Crown :p Mainly because I just think it'll be awesome...and also to prove to people that I actually WILL do it. I love how some people have so much faith in me. Pssht whatever.

I'm heading to bed :) Later

You know you're from NC when...Collapse )

[14 Aug 2005|09:44pm]
So wow, some stuff to update about.

Friday was my first day back to school. I was extremely pissed when I arrived in the parking lot to find that all of the parking spots had been taken by underclassmen that had gotten there extra early to steal them from the seniors. Ugh. So after I found a spot, things went a little bit smoother. I went to homeroom for an hour and talked to Stephanie W. and Mrs. Weeks. Then I went to Mrs. Maxwell's room where I'm a T.A. and did some Student Council stuff. Then I went to English and I have some lovely people in there with me (Stephanie W., Stephanie F., Amber A., Sarah B., Sarah S., Maria P., Amanda C., Lindsey K., Stewie, and Trevor K.). So, that class should be quite entertaining. I then went to Business Law with ROMAN. Ahh Roman Kelley...resident hottie of the school. Too bad he's a teacher haha That was class was fun. I talked to Skylar and Chandler the whole time and Coach Kelley some. He kept making me do a bunch of stuff because I was the only person in there that he knew well enough and his T.A.s are lazy football players. I have 2nd lunch and basically sit with the same people that are in my Business Law class. We got to sit in the senior cafe ;) word. Then I went back to Business Law and that crept by. The bell rang for me to go to Marching Band, so I did that. I must say...I do not like the changes the new guy has made. It's like I'm in freakin JROTC. It's stupid. It doesn't make sense that he's teaching something completely new to the whole band when we have barely any time to learn a show. Wouldn't it make more sense to teach 5 or 6 freshmen our old style of marching and then next year he could teach his style when he has more time? I certainly think so. We'll just have to see how things turn out. After all of my band stuff, I went to work and that was crazy. I worked with April and it was just a really busy night. So, I was extremely tired.

I got up at 6:45 Saturday morning and got ready and went to band. I did drum major stuff all morning and then we all went outside and taught each other all of the new crap. Then we came in and did music and that was alright I guess. I like playing mellophone. I've picked it up pretty fast and I know I'll get a lot better with time. I left band at 7:30 that night and came home. I rested for a little while before getting a call from Drew to come hang out. So I hung out with Drew, Matt, Robert, Michael, Thomas, and Lindsey R. for a little while. Came home...and went to sleep.

I woke up this morning extremely sore. Holding that mellophone killed me. DEFINITELY not used to that. I lounged around the house a while and got ready and went to my Asheboro meeting. That was eventful. I left there at about 5 and went to eat at my dad's and get money and gas and all of that. Came home...and here I am now. Not very happy. But whatever.

So...Cadets won DCI finals. Word. Phantom came 3rd, very happy about that :) Crown got 7th, not bad. I hope I get to march next year...I'm definitely auditioning...it's whether or not I'm good enough to do it by then :p we'll see. I'm trying to be optimistic about it.

Schedule for next week:
Monday-School, work
Tuesday-School, band
Wednesday-School, Student Council, work
Thursday-School, band
Friday-School, band?, work
Sunday-My fucking day off. Also, going to get my dress for my brothers wedding.

[ mood | exhausted ]

Wow today was quite eventful. I got up and picked up Luigi and we went to the school to help Mr. Crain out, but he definitely wasn't there. So we went to Randall's and chilled there until our National Honor Society meeting. We went to that and I won NHS Vice President, woop woop. Then all of the crazy StuCo(student council) kids(Me, Will, Jason, Lindsey, Amber, Victoria, Thomas, Marcus etc etc) migrated to Mrs. Maxwell's room for a most-certainly-not-planned meeting type thing. We ran around the school on field trips doing random StuCo stuff and talked about homecoming. I'm in charge of the pep rally..woo hoo! So I left there and ventured to Mr. Crain's trailer and got my Funding stuff for Asheboro and then went to work. Worked from 4:45-9 and finally came home and relaxed. So sleepy..

Tomorrow I'm getting to the school by about 2:30 to do some more StuCo stuff and then I have to help out with orientation/open house until 7. Then Allie and I are going out to eat and promptly going home and going to sleep for school the next day.

Friday I'll go to school and do that sort of thing. Then after school until 5:15 I'll be doing leadership stuff in the band room. Then it's work from 5:30 to 9.

Saturday I'll be at the school doing band stuff all day.

Sunday is our first Asheboro meeting. And I will most definitely be working on my NEW English summer assignment later.

Busy :(

And I miss you.

BUT, if another guy gets too close, I expect him to step up and say/do something. My perfect guy never gets too harsh with me. He is willing to talk things out like a civil human being without losing his temper. My perfect guy does not assume things without speaking to me first. My perfect guy values family, whether it be already existing family or one that we hope to build ourselves. My perfect guy wants kids and does not want to live in his college days for the rest of his life. Oh, speaking of which, my perfect guy is in, or has attended (and graduated), college. My perfect guy knows how to be romantic without getting too mushy or clingy. My perfect guy is a one-woman man and does not look elsewhere to get his jollies. Lastly, my perfect guy is someone who I feel I can trust completely and without question. (PS...he can be cute too :-p)

Have you ever thought of being a lesbian: Wow, no

Wow...this has to be the worst birthday I've ever had.

1. Reply with your name and I'll respond with something random about you.
2. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.
3. I'll pick a flavor of jello to wrestle with you in.
4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me.
5. I'll tell you my first memory of you.
6. I'll tell you what animal you remind me of.
7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.
8. If I do this for you, you must post this on your journal. You MUST. It is written.
